Thousands of pounds go into recovering these special pieces of history, pulling them from sunken ships, hoisting them out of wreckage. and then scraping years of gunk, rust, barnacles, and what not off of them to polish and refine them as pieces of functional art. I groan when people refer to me as an upcycler, I didn't just take a 10 year old dresser, paint it midnight blue and then slap a new price tag on it.
